April 2010

Ladies Breakfast

We had a wonderful time this morning. There was some amazing cassaroles, yum yum!  Everyone enjoyed each other around the tables.   We did alot of chatting and laughing!  Cheryl Scribner shared about doing an outreach to our single mom’s in our community.  We are looking at doing this on Aug. 7th. Please pray about helping out!   Our dear sister Judy Fox shared her testimony.   Wow, how powerful and how encouraging to us to keep our eyes on Jesus through the hard times!! If you couldn’t make it we will have cd’s available at the welcome center soon.  I have wonderful sisters in the Lord and value our time!!  Spending time together brings us closer to Jesus!!   May Jesus always be seen in us!!!

Looking forward to Breakfast with You!!

Many of you have the gift of cooking and baking.  There is a few of us who have the gift of  enjoying your gift.  Together we make a delightful group.  I love the laughter and talking that goes on at our ladies Breakfast. I believe God is pleased with his daughters when they come to encourage one another.   I am blessed and full when i leave.  So lets come together again this next Saturday, April 24th. doors will open at BCC @8:30am.  Look forward to seeing You!

2 Corinthians 10:4-6

I have been meditating  on these verses for a couple days.   It is so good to be reminded that we have divine power. Our decisions to not war in the flesh but to take the gifts God has given us and use them for His glory. Strongholds aren’t strong then and we speak about Our Loving Heavenly Father very easily.  There is a  peace that comes when we don’t do anything on our own, knowing  that God has given us His power that “raised Christ from the dead”.   This helps us go against the “arguments and every pretension” that would make us or others believe things that are not true about God.  I know and believe God’s help will change our view on how we struggle with the hard things in life.  He is there to help us demolish things that would in the flesh look too hard.  We can’t only look on “the surface of things”(v.7b) . Look through His Divine Power and Rest in Him!!
